About Stagepunch

Preparing a new generation of performing artists

About Us

Stagepunch was created as the ultimate tool for artists on their journey to apply for a performing arts degree. Our whole team went through this process at one point, so we truly know the ups and downs and the ins and outs. We are passionate about educating the artists of tomorrow.

Navigating the application process can be extremely difficult. There are so many deadlines and audition dates to keep track of. Different schools require different things for their auditions and portfolio reviews. How do I choose the right monologue? What do I write about in my essay? And the most important question of all: What school is the right one for me? Stagepunch will be your companion the entire way, from the initial school search all the way to your acceptance letter and beyond!

Megan Schadler
Co-Founder

Megan is a co-founder of Stagepunch. Inspired by her own journey to drama school, Megan wanted to help create a way to ease the stress of applying to college. She believes theatre education should leave student’s imagining endless possibilities for their future. Finding a program that does that is an individualized and personal process. There is no “best drama school in the world,” when every student’s needs are unique. In 2016, Megan graduated the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since then, she’s worked as an actor, an international theatre producer, and playwright. Megan is primarily based in Brooklyn, New York where she lives with her husband and two cats.

Katie currently resides in Hudson, Canada with her husband and 3 year old daughter, traveling regularly to New York to teach and direct. She holds a BA in theatre from Florida State University and an MFA in Directing from The New School for Drama and is the founder and Artistic Director of Yonder Window Theatre Company.
